100 New COVID-19 Cases

Today there are 100 new cases of COVID-19. 99 are in Eastern Health and 1 is in Western Health.

There is one presumptive positive case. There are 210 active cases and 85,887 people have been tested.

If you have only one symptom you must get tested.

155 health care workers are isolating in Eastern Health.

Central Health wishes to advise the public that it will be implementing visitor restrictions at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens' Home, in Springdale, effective immediately.

The decision to implement the restrictions was made after the Regional Health Authority received confirmation of a positive COVID-19 case in the Central Newfoundland region.

Members of the Western Kings were informed that they need to self-isolate after a member of a team has tested positive for COVID-19.
