One sent to hospital following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening
Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, Clarenville RCMP along with Clarenville Fire Department and Fewers Ambulance responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Vardys Avenue.
As emergency crews arrived the vehicle had collided with a utility pole, as emergency crews investigated the lone occupant of the vehicle was having a medical emergency. An ambulance was quick to arrive and transported the male occupant to Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville.
RCMP shut down a part of Vardys Avenue as they pulled the vehicle back from the utility pole to inspect damages to the pole.
