Early morning house fire in Grand Falls-Windsor

Fire crews in Grand Falls-Windsor made quick work of a house fire on Monchy Road at 6:00 am this morning.

The fire started in a bedroom. Damage was limited.

The lone occupant of the home escaped the fire and called the fire department. He was transported to hospital to be checked out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
