A 23-year-old man may think the next time he uploads a Snap Chat.

RCMP had all the evidence they needed to ticketed a driver for a number of traffic offences after the suspect posted a video of dangerous driving on social media.

Earlier this week RCMP received the report of a video that was circulating on Snap Chat that showed a driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, travelling at speeds of approximately 170 km/h while using a cell phone.

There was no trouble identifying the driver since he identified himself in the video. All of this happened while there was a sleeping passenger on board.

Police ticketed the man for excessive speeding, not wearing a seat belt and using a cell phone while driving and his licence was suspended.
