Trump heads to New York for arraignment

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has departed Florida and is flying to New York City to prepare for his arraignment on Tuesday in Manhattan.

Trump was indicted by a New York grand jury on Thursday.

The charges stem from payments made during the 2016 presidential campaign to an adult film star. There are also several charges related to business fraud.

Security is tight at Trump Tower and around the city ahead of Trump's arrival.

These charges make Trump the first former president to ever face a criminal charge. This comes as Trump attempts to win the presidency again.
