Team Canada wins 25 medals at Paralympic Winter Games



Canada took home a total of 25 medals at this year’s Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing. Canada won eight gold medals, six silver medals and 11 bronze.


Liam Hickey and his teammates won the silver medal for Canada.


Team Canada played the United States in the Para ice hockey final on Sunday. Canada took the game by a score of 5 to 0.


Canada participated in all five winter sports. The sports include para ice hockey, para nordic ski – para biathlon and para cross country, para-alpine skiing, wheelchair curling and para snowboard.
