Storm Closures and Cancellations for March 16

Post Secondary:

  • MUN St. John's, Marine Institute and Signal Hill campuses, including the Childcare Centre, are closed for all day.

  • CNA Bonavista campus will be closed for the day. Online classes continue as scheduled.

  • CNA Ridge Road, Seal Cove, Burin, Prince Philip Drive campuses, the Anna Templeton Centre, and Topsail Road Offices will be closed for the day.

  • CNA Carbonear campus is closed for the day.

  • CNA Placentia Campus is closed for the day.

  • CNA Grand Falls-Windsor campus will be closed for the day

  • CNA Clarenville will be closed for the day

  • CNA Gander campuses will be closed for the day. Online classes will continue as scheduled.

  • Academy Canada St. John’s Campuses and Eastern Academy will be closed for the day.

Child Care

  • Early Achievers Montessori School will be closed for the day.

  • Bloomsbury child care will be closed all day.

  • CNA Prince Philip Drive Daycare Centre will be closed all day.


Other

  • Provincial government offices in the St. John’s metro region will be closed for the day, except for those staff who have been advised to come in to work.

  • Provincial courts in St. John's and Harbour Grace closed for the day.

  • Provincial Court in Gander reopening at 1:30 pm.

  • Provincial Court in Clarenville is closed all day.

  • Grand Bank Provincial Court centres will reopen at 1:30 pm this afternoon.

  • Grand Falls-Windsor Provincial Court is closed all day.

  • In St. John's garbage and recycling collection will be postponed for areas 4A and 4B. Garbage collection will take place on Friday.

  • Recycling collection is Mount Pearl is cancelled but garbage collection will proceed. Residents are asked to not place the garbage cart at the curb until this morning.

  • St. John's City buildings will reopen at noon.

  • Quikprint Services Ltd. closed for the morning.

  • YMCA Pre-K and School Age Child Care programs in the Avalon Peninsula region are closed for the day. Swim lessons at the Ches Penney Family YMCA in St. John's are cancelled.

  • All Town facilities in Paradise will reopen at noon.

  • All St. John's Public Libraries will be closed all day.

  • Lighting World / Mcloughlan Supplies Blackmarsh Road delayed opening till noon.
