Paris Olympics set to open today

The 2024 Paris Olympics are set to begin today. There will be 10,500 competing athletes in 329 events.

The opening ceremony will be held on the Seine River. The ceremony will be the first Olympic opening ceremony held outside of a stadium.

The Olympics conclude on August 11.
