No injuries after residential fire in Harbour Grace
Around 12:30 am today the Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade responded to a residential structure fire on the main road, South Side in Harbour Grace.
Firefighters performed an aggressive interior attack and the fire was contained to the basement with minor extension to the main floor.
There were no fire hydrants in the area and there were very strong winds at the time, as a result, the Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade requested mutual aid from the Spaniards Bay and Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department.
Collins Ambulance, the RCMP and Newfoundland Power also assisted.
There were no injuries.
