Highlights From the First NHL Games of the Season

There were four games in the NHL season last night.

Maple Leafs 5 Canadiens 4 (OT)

In the first period, the Canadiens took 2 goals and the Leafs picked up 1. Things flipped in the second period with the Leafs making 2 goals while the Canadiens picked up 1. Both teams picked up a goal in the third tying the game at 4 to 4. The Leafs took the game in OT.

Canucks 5 Oilers 3

The Canucks picked up 1 goal in the first and second periods. The Oilers play catch up scoring 1 goal in the second. Vancouver picked up 3 more goals in the third to the Oiler's 1 goal. Canucks take the game.

Flyers 6 Penguins 3

The Penguins picked up 1 goal in each of the three periods. But it wasn't enough to take out the Flyers who picked up 2 in the first, 1 in the second, and 3 in the third.

Lightning 5 Blackhawks 1

The Blackhawks managed to get on the board scoring 1 goal in the third period. The Lightning scored 5 in total. 3 in the first period, 1 in the second and third.
