Growlers take game one in Kelly Cup Playoffs
The Newfoundland Growlers have taken game one in the 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs beating the Trois-Rivières Lions by a score of 7 to 4.
The Lions took two goals in the first period with the Growlers only getting one goal but the Growlers came back in period two and three scoring three goals in each period while the Lions played catchup getting one goal in the second period and one in the third.
Matt Hellickson and Orrin Centazzo picked up two scores each, Gordie Green, Tyler Boland, and Zach O'Brien all scored a goal.
The Growlers have another home game tonight at 7:00 pm against the Trois-Rivières Lions.
