Fire closes terminal building at St. John's International Airport


The terminal building at St. John's International Airport was evacuated due to a fire last night.


The fire was localized to an area on the second floor of the terminal. The St. John’s International Airport Emergency responders and St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to the incident.


No injuries were reported and the fire was confined to a specific area.


At this time the terminal building is closed to the public. Travellers are asked to check with their airline before heading to the airport on Saturday.
