Canada provides additional aid to Ukraine

Defence Minister Anita Anand has announced that Canada will provide an additional aid package to Ukraine.

The new aid package will total $39 million dollars and will include fuel supplies, modular floatation bridge assets to enable wet-gap crossing, medical first aid kits, and 40 .50 calibre sniper rifles and ammunition from Prairie Gun Works based in Winnipeg, which includes spare parts and accessories.

Ukraine will also receive $2 million worth of new radio sets from L3 Harris to accompany the Leopard 2 tank donations.

Additionally, eight Leopard 2 main battle tanks committed by Canada to Ukraine have been delivered to Poland. Canada has also sent Leopard Gunnery Skills Trainers to assist with efforts to train Ukrainian tank crews.
