Alex Newhook took the Stanley Cup through the streets of Downtown St. John's today. Earlier in the day, Newhook brought the Stanley Cup to Confederation Building.

Thousands of people showed up for the parade that went through Military Road, Ordnance Street, Duckworth Street, Prescott Street, and Water Street.

Newhook later took the cup to Ches’s Fish and Chips for a meal.

Today was the third time the cup was brought to the province. Danny Cleary of Harbour Grace brought the cup here in 2008, and Michael Ryder of Bonavista took it to the province on 2011.
