The Royal St. John's Regatta is set to take place on Wednesday, weather permitting.

As of now, the forecast looks great for Wednesday with sun and cloud expected and a temperature of 18 degrees with light south-southeast wind.

All City offices are closed. Garbage and recycling collection will continue as normal and is not affected by the holiday.

Visitor Information Services at the Welcome Centre, 348 Water Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Regatta Day as it’s a Shop Closing Holiday.

The Royal St. John's Regatta is North America's oldest annual sporting event with documented proof of 1816 boat races.
