Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has apologized after the federal ethics commissioner said that the Prime Minister was in violation of some provisions of the Conflict of Interest Act following his vacation last Christmas on a private island owned by the Aga Khan.

Trudeau took a private helicopter to get to the Island. His family stayed on a Bahamas Island from December 26 to January 4.

In the future the Prime Minister promises to check with the ethics comissioner before booking holidays.
