Youth arrested after break and enter in Carbonear

The RCMP is investigating a break-and-enter that occurred early this morning at the Quality Vapor store in Carbonear.

Around 2:00 am suspects broke into the business. The owner was notified of the alarm and attended the scene.

A dark-coloured 4-door hatchback car with multiple occupants was seen fleeing the scene. The car sustained damage to the passenger side and passenger side headlight.

Officers located two youths involved in the break and enter this morning. The pair fled from the police on foot. One of the youths was arrested while the other escaped.

The arrested youth, who is currently before the court on numerous charges laid by the RNC in St. John’s, attends court later today.

The same store was struck by vandals on August 8.
