Woman arrested after streaming video of animal cruelty online

Forty-one-year-old Amy Drake of Grand Bank was arrested after a report of animal cruelty.

On Monday police received reports of a live social media video displaying harm by Drake towards a cat within a residence. The animal was removed from the home by police and has been transported to the SPCA.

Drake was charged with causing unnecessary harm to an animal, breach of probation, and breach of a condition of a court release order.

She is currently on probation and conditions of a court release order.

The accused appeared in court on Tuesday and was released from custody on further conditions. She will appear in court again on November 30.
