WestJet Pilots reach agreement

It was down to the wire but WestJet pilots will not take labour action.

An Agreement in Principle was reached overnight with WestJet. Negotiations had been ongoing for eight months.

There is no word on what the new agreement looks like.

Earlier this week the Air Line Pilots Association, the union that represents WestJet pilots issued a 72-hour strike notice.

The WestJet Group responded by issuing a lockout notice to the Air Line Pilots Association.
