Volunteer firefighter killed while responding to a call near Trinity

A volunteer firefighter has died responding to a call for service.
On Wednesday afternoon a fire truck was responding to a call near Trinity. The fire truck departed the roadway on Route 239. The truck rounded a curve in the road, departed the roadway and drove over an embankment.
The lone occupant, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.
He was transported to the Hospital in Clarenville where he later died.
The investigation is continuing.
