Vaccine rates continue to climb

Vaccine rates continue to climb in the province.

As of Tuesday, 85.65 percent of the eligible population has had their first dose of the vaccine and 72.56 percent of the eligible population has had their second dose.

Regional Health Authorities have been hosting pop-up vaccination sites and some physicians and pharmacists are also offering shots.

Canada continues to be a world leader in vaccination rates, with over 80 percent of eligible people in the country vaccinated with their first dose and approximately 64 percent fully vaccinated as of July 27.
