Underage ATV operator injured after flipping side by side in Carbonear

On Saturday evening an underage ATV operator was taken for medical treatment in Carbonear after the side-by-side he was operating flipped over on Circular Road.

Police attended the scene where a side-by-side ATV, carrying two underage occupants, had flipped over while the underage operator was doing donuts.

Both occupants were taken to Carbonear General Hospital. The operator was treated for minor injuries and the passenger was uninjured.

The ATV was seized and impounded.

Police issued tickets to a parent and the investigation is continuing and tickets may be issued to the operator.
