Ukraine strikes Russian base point in occupied area

Ukraine has made another significant step in the illegal war started by Russia.

On the Kinburn Spit, the westernmost part of the Kinburn Peninsula, Russia had set up manpower, weapons and equipment.

The Ukrainian South Operational Command said that it had "demilitarized" seven tanks and two units of armoured vehicles. It also destroyed the base point.

The Kinburn Spit was the staging ground for Russia to fire at harbour tugs and grain barges in the Dnipro-Buzka Estuary.
