Trudeau shuffles two ministers
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shuffled two ministers to different portfolios today after a request from Minister Filomena Tassi to spend more time in Southern Ontario due to family reasons.
Tassi was the Minister of Public Services and Procurement and is now the Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. She is the MP for Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas.
Helena Jaczek has been made the Minister of Public Services and Procurement. She was the Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
In a statement, Tassi said that "early last year, my husband suffered two strokes." She added, "I want to thank the Prime Minister for approaching my situation as a challenge to be addressed and solved, rather than as a choice to be made between family or public service."
