Town of Heart's Content holds by-election
Sandra Drover has been elected as councillor in a by-election in the Town of Heart's Content.
There were three people seeking the position. Drover received 43 votes, James Lahey garnered 33 votes, and Albert Robinson received 11 votes.
In a statement posted to Facebook, Drover said, "I am honoured to have been elected to serve the community of Hearts Content as a councillor. Thank you to all of those who got out and voted today. I am looking forward to working with fellow councillors and helping address any concerns in our town."
Heart's Content is located in Trinity Bay on the Bay de Verde Peninsula with a population of around 340.
