Suspended driver owing excessive fines stopped by RCMP twice within three days



From Tuesday to Thursday a 20-year-old male was stopped by the RCMP twice.


On Tuesday evening the RCMP observed a speeding vehicle in Tilton and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was ticketed for speeding and driving while suspended.


Additionally, he now faces a charge of breaching a court order after he was in the vehicle with an occupant he was to have no contact with.


On Thursday morning . the same vehicle was stopped in Tilton. It was being operated by the same suspended driver and was carrying the same occupants. The driver was again found in breach of his court order and criminal charges are pending.


The suspended driver owed more than $ 7000.00 dollars in fines. He was further ticketed and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
