Suspect arrested after brandishing knife in Corner Brook

Last evening the RNC was called to a report of an assault with a knife in progress on Birchy Cove Drive, in Corner Brook.

When officers arrived the subject with the knife had fled the area. Police later identified the suspect who allegedly brandished the knife.

The accused was charged with possessing a weapon dangerous to the public.

There were no injuries in the incident.

The accused will appear in court next month.
