St. John's extends parking limits downtown

St. John's has extended the maximum parking time limit.

Currently, the maximum parking time limit is two hours. Based on feedback from local business community and the public, indications are that that time frame is insufficient.

As a result, as of June 19, maximum parking time limits will increase to three and four hours in multiple on-street parking areas.

Three-hour time limit areas include Water Street, Duckworth Street, George Street, Queen Street, Bishop’s Cove, Beck’s Cove, and Clift Baird’s Cove.

Four-hour time limit areas include New Gower, Bates Hill, Cathedral Street, Church Hill, and Cavendish Square.
