St. John's developing Heritage Plan

The City of St. John's is asking residents to provide input into the development of the new Heritage Plan.

The plan will guide the city in managing, maintaining, and protecting heritage resources in the future.

The goals of the Heritage Plan include protecting built heritage and recognizing cultural landscapes, working toward reconciliation with Indigenous residents, identifying ways to celebrate the history and the array of cultures in the city, reviewing the Heritage Financial Incentives Program, and enhancing accessibility of heritage, both online and in physical forms.

There will be a virtual and in-person engagement session. The in-person session takes place on March 8 at 7 p.m. in the Foran Greene Room and the virtual event takes place on March 14.
