SNAP Network "extremely concerned" that Catholic church buying some properties

The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) Network is "extremely concerned" to learn that the Catholic church, via several legal entities it formed, is buying up some of its own properties in the St. John's area.

The court approved the sale of 43 church-owned properties to help pay compensation to victims for crimes committed against them by Catholic Clerics.

SNAP is arguing that if the church is bankrupt, where does it get the cash to purchase these properties and secondly, whether or not the sale price is an arm's length transaction.
