Shrimp fisherman threatens to dump catch

Ryan Cleary, Executive Director of SEA-NL says some fisherpeople are threatening to dump their northern shrimp catch over prices.


The price was set at $1.42/lb and processors reportedly aren’t prepared to pay that price.


“The price-setting panel clearly isn’t working when its prices and recommendations are not respected, and fleet remain tied up at the wharf,” says Ryan Cleary, Executive Director of SEA-NL.
