Seven people arrested in Ottawa rally

The Ottawa Police Service arrested seven people and towed 24 vehicles on Friday night as the latest rally moved into Ottawa.

Several charges were laid including assault on police.

There have been no reported injuries.

There are officers from the Ottawa Police, RCMP, OPP, York and Windsor Police to ensure the police remain in control of the city.

Police say that the first convoy stopped at Lees Avenue and had initially refused to leave. Police arrested one individual at that location and the remainder of the vehicles departed after tow trucks arrived on the scene.

This is a developing story.
