There were secretive plans to store nuclear waste in Labrador according to a report by CBC.
According to the report, there was a project underway by a group of entrepreneurs and lawyers to set up a facility in Labrador. The facility would store international nuclear waste.
The Nunatsiavut Government was not aware of any proposed plans to dispose of nuclear waste in Labrador, and they released a statement saying they were surprised to learn of it through the media.
