Rogers to Purchase Shaw in $26 Billion Deal

Rogers Communications has signed a deal valued at $26 billion to purchase Shaw.
As part of the deal, Rogers will invest in 5G Networks in western regions of Canada and expand high-speed internet service to rural and Indigenous communities.
The deal has not been finalized because it has to clear customary closing conditions including approval from regulators. The deal is expected to close early next year.
