RNC warning of planned convoy protest this weekend

The RNC is advising that there will be a large number of vehicles travelling through communities across the province this weekend in association with the so-called "Freedom Convoy".

Officers will be present as necessary to direct traffic, minimize disruptions and promote public safety.

At this time officers expect there will be an impact on traffic on a number of roadways and streets.

Police are also warning attendees and members of the public to follow applicable public health guidelines related to COVID-19, municipal/city by-laws, the Highway Traffic Act and any other related legislation.
