Regatta Day Holiday City Schedule

Weather permitting, The Royal St. John’s Regatta is set to take place on Wednesday.

Due to public health guidelines, there are no garden party events or lakeside activities this year.

The public are encouraged to watch the races from home.

Should the weather be unsuitable on Wednesday the event will be postponed.

All City offices and facilities are closed on Regatta Day.

There are some exceptions:

• Garbage and recycling collection will continue and is not affected by the holiday.

• Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial and residential users.

• Outdoor pools at Bannerman Park and Bowring Park are open on Regatta Day.

• Splash Pads are open from 9 a.m. to dusk at Bowring Park, Bannerman Park and Kenmount Terrace Community Centre.

• Parking regulations will not be enforced on Regatta Day as it’s a Shop Closing Holiday.

• Road closures and parking restrictions will be in place to facilitate the Royal St. John’s Regatta
