RCMP stops two excessive speeders in Garden Cove

RCMP attempted to stop two drivers travelling at high rates of speed near Garden Cove on Monday.

Radar readings displayed the speed of the lead vehicle as 153 km/h and the speed of the second vehicle as 156 km/h.

Police initiated a traffic stop on both vehicles.

The lead vehicle pulled over. The driver was ticketed for excessive speeding, his licence was suspended and the car was seized and impounded.

The other car continued southbound. The driver of that vehicle was identified and the investigation is continuing.
