RCMP responds to fatal house fire in Stephenville Crossing

On April 19, Bay St. George RCMP responded to a house fire in Stephenville Crossing that claimed the life of a woman in her eighties.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a residential fire on Seal Cove Road in Stephenville Crossing. Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene. The house was completely engulfed in flames. The woman’s body was located inside the home by firefighters.

A Fire Scene Investigator with Fire Services Division of Justice and Public Safety attends the scene today to continue with the investigation.
