RCMP & Parks Canada Ticket 24 Drivers in Terra Nova

RCMP and Parks Canada teamed up and ticketed 24 drivers for speeding violations. The initiative took place on the Trans-Canada Highway in Terra Nova on December 7.

During the two-and-a-half-hour time period, officers with RCMP Traffic Services Central and Glovertown Detachment, along with Parks Wardens of Parks Canada worked together, with the use of Lidar (laser) speed detection equipment, and issued the tickets.

There will be an increase in enforcement efforts across the province in the form of team service deliveries like this one or with the use of traffic checkpoints throughout the holiday season.

Motorists should obey posted speed limits, drive sober and always wear a seatbelt.
