RCMP investigates multiple thefts of copper wire at NL Power Substations

The RCMP is investigating a string of recent break, enter and thefts at Newfoundland Power Substations in and around the Whitbourne area between May 6 and May 31.
Quantities of copper wire were stolen from each location.
The New Harbour Substation was struck on May 6 and May 31.
The Chapel Arm Substation was struck on May 8 and again on May 28. On May 13, the Holiday Hill Power Poles and Whitbourne Substation were struck.
During these crimes, suspects severed a number of lines, including grounding lines which are extremely dangerous.
