RCMP conducts enforcement and impounds vehicles

RCMP impounded a vehicle and compelled another for an inspection after two traffic stops back on September 9.

An officer on patrol in Grand Falls-Windsor observed a pick-up truck on Cromer Avenue without a front bumper. A traffic stop was conducted and the vehicle was found to have a number of deficiencies. The driver was ticketed and the vehicle was compelled for an inspection to have the deficiencies corrected.

Just a few hours later, the officer was patrolling the TCH, near Thunder Brook and observed a vehicle travelling a 153 km/h. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, a 44-year-old Swift Current man, was issued a ticket for speeding over 51 km/h. His driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
