The provincial government and the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association have signed a Shared Agenda.
The Shared Agenda is meant to advance priorities within Family Medicine and a commitment between both parties to address critical issues related to the retention of the province’s family physician workforce.
It will focus on recruitment and retention, a health human resource forecast and plan, collaborative community care teams, and the provision of emergency medicine services.
Both parties signed a Memorandum of Agreement in 2022.
