Provincial & Federal Governments Invest in Waste Management Project on Burin Peninsula

The provincial and federal government has announced over $87,000 in joint federal-provincial funding for the Burin Peninsula Regional Service Board’s Dewatering System Project.

This residential and industrial wastewater project will reduce the energy used to process and divert organic waste.

The funding ($72,000 federal and $15,000 provincial) is being provided through the Climate Change Challenge Fund which is part of the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund.
