Province to mark Coronation at Government House with public event
There will be several events happening today at Government House to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
The events are open to the public. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to arrive no later than 9:45 am.
Beginning at 10:00 am there will be a parade by a Guard of Honour from Bannerman Road to Military Road followed by a flag-raising ceremony, and an inspection of the Guard of Honour
At 10:35 am there will be official welcoming remarks, a 21-gun salute will take place on the grounds of Government House at 11:00 am, a tree-planting ceremony at 11:15 am and closing remarks at 11:25 am.
Today and Sunday both Government House and the Confederation Building will be illuminated in emerald green.
