Prime Minister Mark Carney to unveil new cabinet

At noon Newfoundland time today, Prime Minister Mark Carney will unveil his new cabinet at a swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall.

Carney is expected to have less than 30 members in the cabinet.

Not only will there be ministers, but Carney is also expected to have secretaries of state. The secretary of state title is given to junior ministers who sit outside cabinet. A secretary is not a full cabinet portfolio.
