Police make drug bust in Clarke's Beach and Brigus

The RCMP have charged two people after executing search warrants Clarke's Beach and Brigus.

Police have charged 27-year-old Christian Woodford and 48-year-old Steven Breaker.

On Monday evening, officers executed a planned traffic stop on Glam Road in Clarke's Beach where Woodford was taken into custody.

A quantity of unstamped cannabis and more than $5000.00 cash were located and seized from the vehicle.

At the same time, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Clarke's Beach. A number of oxycodone pills, unstamped contraband cannabis and cannabis products, ammunition, a quantity of cocaine, other prescription medications, more than $15,000.00 in cash and various proceeds of crime items were located and seized.

On Tuesday evening, officers executed a search warrant on the residence of Steven Breaker in Brigus.

At that residence, police seized more than a kilogram of cocaine, 432 grams of unstamped contraband cannabis, a firearm and ammunition.

The investigation is continuing.
