Police looking for missing firearm in Witless Bay

The police are looking for a missing firearm in the Witless Bay area.

The firearm was reported missing last Thursday morning. The owner of the firearm had returned from hunting and mistakenly left his firearm in a parking area on Gallows Cove Road in Witless Bay.

When the man noticed he did not have his firearm, he returned to retrieve the firearm and discovered it was missing.

The firearm is described as a 12-guage Browning Maxis Stalker pump-action shotgun with a shoulder strap.

It is likely the firearm was recovered by an individual in the area and police are looking to retrieve the firearm and return it to its owner.
