Police arrest man after to attempted armed robbery in South River

RCMP have arrested 38-year-old Barry Power of Cupids after an attempted armed robbery at an organization in South River yesterday, February 17.

Bay Roberts RCMP were alerted to the attempted armed robbery at 1:23 pm and responded immediately.

The suspect had fled the scene but was quickly located.

The accused was charged with armed robbery, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.
