Police arrest impaired driver in Marysvale #nlpoli

RCMP arrested a 34-year-old Georgetown man in Marysvale on May 28.

Just after midnight on Friday, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the parking lot of a local liquor establishment.

The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and failed a roadside breath test.

He was arrested and transported to the detachment where he provided further breath samples that were nearly three times the legal limit.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges of impaired driving. His license was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
