Police arrest another youth in connection to attempted murder


An additional person has been charged with attempted murder connected to an attack at a St. John’s school on March 9.


A 17-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and failure to comply with a youth sentence order.


The accused is held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.


At this time the investigation remains active.


The assault occurred at Prince of Wales Collegiate high school on Paton Street in St. John’s. The victim, a 16-year-old male had sustained serious injuries and required medical attention.
